Davies Theatre Academy
Lisa recognised that her students loved performing in the biannual shows and wanted to offer them more opportunities to do so and launched a sister company called Davies Theatre Academy. This offers students a full range of training in all Musical Theatre and Contemporary styles with the opportunity to work with leading professionals locally. Each Friday students of all ages work together and experience a variety of different dance and theatre genres, workshopping numbers from popular shows from the West End to Broadway. The students of DTA have several opportunities to perform throughout the year, including our annual theatre productions as well as termly showcases to parents. Students are also offered the opportunity to take lessons in Musical Theatre and singing to work towards LAMDA exams. To learn more about these classes, visit out theatre classes page.

Lisa grew up in the spotlight and performed on stage from a young age. Early memories include being part of The Royal Variety Performance in the 80s and a licensed performer for pantomimes and shows throughout her childhood. Credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Wizard of Oz, Annie, Les Miserables, Calamity Jane, Riverdance (Hammersmith Apollo), Sleeping beauty (Lilac Fairy) as well as many other appearances. As a student of the Royal Ballet School she appeared on the stage at Covent Garden alongside dancers of the Royal Ballet. The most memorable moment was being part of the Gala to commemorate the life Sir Kenneth Macmillan. Lisa joined the touring company of the RBSTTC and travelled around the south of England performing before being asked to become personal assistant to Dame Merle Park in 1996 and then assisting in the wardrobe of the Royal Opera House making costumes. In 1997 Lisa set up Davies school of Dance and has been teaching ever since.
Singing & Musical Theatre
Jane Trained for 3 year at Arts Educational Schools London on their musical theatre course. Credits include- Spirit of the Dance, Grease (Germany) Starlight Express (Germany and West End) Fame (National & European Tour and West End) Boogie Nights the Musical (West End & National tour) Rent (West End and National tour) Headwig and the angry inch, Oh What A Night (National Tour) Footloose (UK tour) Oliver (Aberystwyth Arts Centre) Simply Ballroom, All you need is love (National tour) Just to name a few, Along with various concerts including singing many times at the prestigious Regents Park open air theatre, The Royal Albert Hall and the O2.
As well as singing in her function band Jane is also in great demand as a session singer and has done backing vocals on various albums. Jane has also sailed the high seas as principal singer and with her own cabaret on P&O, Celebrity and Holland America cruise lines. When she gets a spare minute Jane teaches Singing ,Dancing and Musical production at some of London’s top Musical theatre schools.
After attending Davies School of Dance from the age of 5-18 Georgina attended the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, graduating with a BA(hons) degree in contemporary dance. Georgina currently has a contract as a company dancer for the Welsh company, Ffin Dance, performing in their 2 current works ‘Crib’ and ‘An Inspector Calls.’ Georgina has also worked with Roswitha Chesher, Elizabeth Kew Ross, Eleven Farrer House, Sarah Blanc, Laura Caldow and Kerry Biggin. When not performing Georgina is delivering technique and creative dance workshops and classes to a variety of ages, as well as teaching Barre fitness classes at Define.London, a leading boutique barre studio in London.
Seren began her training at Drusilla Duffill Theatre School (2004-2013) before going onto The Royal Ballet School Associates (2004-2013) and Central School of Ballet (2013-2016). She joined Matthew Bourne’s: New Adventures in 2016 for the production of The Red Shoes, followed by Cinderella. Seren has just played the title role of Juliet in Matthew Bourne’s latest production, Romeo and Juliet. She is due to join Rambert2 in September 2020. Other Career Highlights include Crystal Pite's Polarisand Dane Hurst's Prud'hon: The Moving Body, Exodus and TRAPPED. Also working with Sharon Watson, Charlotte Edmonds and Christopher Marney.
Puppetry, Acting & Musical Theatre
Romina is an ex pupil and since leaving Davies School of Dance in 2015 she has gone on to perform professionally as an actor and puppeteer.
Some of her previous theatre credits include ‘The Lorax’ at The Old Vic and The Royal Alexander Theatre (Toronto), ‘Dinosaur World Live’ UK and USA Tour, ‘Running Wild’ at Regents Park Open Air Theatre and the UK Tour.
Romina’s looking forward to joining the West End cast of ‘The Life Of Pi’ in 2021.
Acting & Puppetry
Peter trained in Contemporary Theatre at East 15 and is now an established physical performer with 11 years experience. He has worked for a number of theatres including Oxford Playhouse, National Theatre of Singapore, Wilton's Music Hall and Secret Cinema.
In 2013 he joined the National Theatre’s record-breaking, touring production of War Horse, performing to over a million people over two years in theatres around the UK, Ireland and South Africa as a Head Puppeteer for both Joey and Topthorn.
More recently he’s worked in the Middle East and all across the United States with Dinosaur World Live.
